Activities of epures Epures has in charge to realize specific studies on several fields like housing, transportation, urban development. Also, Epures advices public bodies in the elaboration of general or sector-based plans and development policies. Epures runs several thematic observatories about land use, housing, employment or mobility. They play a role to identify determining factors in urban development and to enable public and private actors to share a common vision of their territory. In order to be aware of methodological innovations, Epures has built partnerships with research centres working on urban issues. Several common accounts have been realised and receive students for a course or for a doctorate. Epures and the urban planning agencies of Lyon and Grenoble have developed several cooperations to promote a large scale reflection concerning urban sprawl, environmental, transportation and housing issues. At national level, Epures is a member of the National Federation of Urban Planning Agencies (www.fnau.org)
